Every start runs an instance for two hours; a licence keeps it running after that. Bind the licence with the DO Id from the instance's licence pane, and it renews a short-lived lease on its own while it stays online - or register an offline key if it is air-gapped.
A subscription carries a seat count; every registered install consumes one seat. Your instances page shows seats used, liveness and lease expiry at a glance.
